A place like the Lahnerhof is hard to describe. Perhaps because it deliberately chooses not to be many things: not a noisy resort, not a place full of distractions. Instead, everything here focuses on what really matters. At 1,180 meters above sea level, nestled in the unspoiled landscape of the Lesachtal valley in Carinthia, lies a place where tranquility is palpable and the view stretches far and wide. The rooms are simply furnished, characterized by natural materials and the serenity of the surroundings. Each one is unique, having evolved over time and possessing its own distinct character. Together, they create 14 retreats for pausing and savoring the moment.

We, Selina and Martin, run the Lahnerhof with all our hearts. Every day, we are reminded of how special it is to live and work here—surrounded by the tranquility, nature, and unspoiled beauty of the Lesachtal Valley. For us, this place is not just home; it is true happiness.
As lucky people who get to live in the most beautiful place in the world, it has always been clear to us: we want to share exactly this feeling with our guests. Not in a loud or staged way, but honestly, warmly, and naturally.
Instead of creating something entirely new, we have carefully carried on the Lahnerhof into its third generation. With a great deal of passion, sensitivity, and attention to detail, we have created a place that preserves the old and quietly integrates the new.
