Vacations with Pets
Dogs are welcome in our hotel. Since the rooms are cleaned daily and this involves a significant amount of extra work for us, we charge €18 per dog per day.
Cancellation / Travel Insurance
For cancellations made up to 90 days before the start of the trip, no cancellation fees apply.
For cancellations made 90 days or less before the start of the trip, the cancellation fee is 40% of the trip price.
For cancellations made 30 days or less before the start of the trip, the cancellation fee is 70% of the trip price.
For cancellations made 7 days or less before departure, the cancellation fee is 90% of the total cost of the trip.
For cancellations made on the day of arrival, the cancellation fee is 100% of the total cost of the trip.
Additional Terms:
In the event of a no-show, an unused room, or early departure, 100% of the total amount will be charged.
In the event of cancellation, we reserve the right to retain a processing and administrative fee of €50.00 to cover the processing and any refund of the deposit.
If none of the above cancellation policies apply, the cancellation terms and conditions in accordance with the Austrian Hotel and Contract Conditions (AGBH 2006) shall apply.
In the event of a border or hotel closure or a lockdown, you may cancel free of charge, even at short notice.

A motorcycle tour amidst the magnificent scenery of the Carnic Alps, the Karawanken, and the Dolomites is a truly fascinating experience. Culinary stops along the way are just as much a part of the experience as winding down the eventful day “at home” at the Lahnerhof. There, a deliciously prepared evening meal awaits you, making the day unforgettable.
Depending on the weather and tour schedule, a guided tour of the Loncium Brewery or a visit to the Kuenz natural distillery can be arranged. The cost for these activities is to be paid on-site if you’re interested.

Hands-On Activities
Not every day of your vacation is the same. Sometimes you want to conquer mountains and hike through alpine pastures, often alone, and other times in a group. Sometimes you’d rather stay in the valley and learn more about the way farmers live. Here at the Lahnerhof, anything is possible. You can take home the most wonderful mountain experiences, or you can join our hands-on activities to learn about traditional—yet still relevant—farming methods on our organic farm.
Here’s what you can expect:
Get your hands dirty with haymaking. Experience the work of a mountain farmer firsthand. The coffee and snack that follow, featuring homemade Carinthian Reindling, will taste especially good.
Try your hand at making Lesachtal Schlipfkrapfen.
Of course, the homemade delicacies are enjoyed right away.
Cream cheese, curd cheese, butter… in Tscheltsch, Mrs. Unterweger will show you how she processes her organic milk—also combined with a wonderful tasting of these products.
Hop into the hiking taxi and Hannes or Martin will take you to the Obergailer Alm; a short hike to the Knoalhütte and a snack at Hundstrichsee will make the day a special experience.
